LEARN & VOLUNTEER
During Mock Interviews, volunteers help Hope Builders’ young adult healthcare trainees practice their interviewing skills and build confidence in their job search as part of their participation in its workforce development program that launches them on a pathway to prosperity. Virtual Mock Interviews are conducted over Zoom.
At 8:30am, Hope Builders’ staff will conduct a brief orientation with volunteers. Volunteers will then be assigned to individual breakout rooms with trainees for mock interviews. Each interview will last 20 minutes and volunteers may interview 3-5 trainees. In between each interview, there will be a 10-minute break where volunteers are asked to complete evaluations.
Prior to the date, volunteers will be provided with all the information needed to conduct the interviews, such as Zoom link, job description, trainee resumes, sample interview questions, evaluation rubric, etc.
No prior interview experience is required to participate.
