Girls Inc. of Orange County serves girls ages 5-18 with programs that help them succeed in school, develop safe and healthy habits, gain self-confidence and resilience, and master the life skills they will need to become independent.
Grant Recipient in 2021 - $25,000
Impact Giving’s grant helped sponsor 150 girls to participate in their “Meet the Workforce Program” which will provide them with the resources and guidance to stay on track in high school, go on to higher education, and be ready to take leadership positions in the workforce.
Grant Recipient in 2020 - $20,000
Impact Giving’s grant funded the Externship program which served 73 (originally 110) at-risk and underserved 10th-12th grade girls. As many as 90% of participants will be first generation college students without the example of higher education and the professional workforce. At least 80% come from very low-income families.
Grant Recipient in 2010 - $10,000
Impact Giving’s grant funded their young inner-city girls after-school programs in Orange County.
