Laurie Dubchansky
Board Co-Chair
I received my undergraduate degree at UCLA, and after earning a master’s degree in health care administration, I worked in various health care settings. I managed a non-profit for several years, and then decided to pursue an education in Personal Financial Planning. I worked for three years at a financial planning firm, and I passed the CFP exam in March 2015. In 2016, I founded Havaplan Financial to serve those with financial concerns, including planning for retirement, but without regard to current wealth accumulation. As a Certified Financial Planner™, I am a fiduciary with a fee-only practice.
I have a fabulous spouse of 38 years, two grown children and one grandchild.
I am an active member of the Financial Planning Association of Orange County (FPA-OC), and I lead our Chapter’s efforts in pro bono planning, offering 1:1 sessions to the community. I also provide financial education to groups looking to improve their knowledge.
I am a committed philanthropist. I volunteer with WISE (Women Investing in Security and Education) and support various local and national nonprofit organizations.
I enjoy high-volume baking, hiking, spinning, Zumba, football games and Super Bowl parties.
