ROBIN JOCHIMS
Governance Chair
Robin has over 20 years of experience working with nonprofit 501(c)(6) organizations, including 14 years as executive director for Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) Orange County, one of the leading commercial real estate trade associations.
Robin excelled at executive management of the 400+ member organization, collaborating with and executing the board of directors’ strategic initiatives. She was the liaison for public, government, and industry organizations, and she developed leadership training, governance policies, and procedures to oversee 100+ active committee members/volunteers. She served on the association’s international taskforce to redesign its membership structure, and she served as Advisory Board member to California State University, Fullerton’s Center for Real Estate, helping to develop student outreach and young/emerging professionals’ programs at both the local and national levels. During her tenure, she received numerous top performer and exemplary service awards.
Robin now focuses on corporate and executive communications and marketing. She believes “if you’re not at the table, you’re likely on the menu,” and in 2020 she co-created an issues-based grassroots effort to engage her local community with city council as it considered major changes to local land redevelopment.
Robin’s valuable experience and contributions led her to Impact Giving, increasing her exposure to local, national, and international charitable organizations. She believes together we can affect positive sustainable change. She joined Impact Giving because of its vision to “impact lives locally and globally through collective giving,” its opportunities to direct use of these funds through grant committee participation, and its welcoming community of like-mind philanthropic women.
In her free time, you’ll find Robin at Pilates, enjoying downtime with family and friends, or traveling.
