MEET COLLEEN HOWES
Colleen Howes has lived in Corona Del Mar for the past 45 years and if you are ever fortunate to visit her at her home, one of the first things you will notice is her cute doormat which reads “Love Love”. Colleen says she came up with this phrase and uses it often “because the world needs a little more love.”
In her past professional career, she’s always loved being an entrepreneur and has owned and operated multiple companies, including Santa Ana Blueprint which she recently sold two years ago. She was definitely a "Boss Babe” and had several large and well known clients, such as Patterson Homes. For those of you who remember the “Bratz” doll, she and her company also printed all of the exhibits for the Bratz vs Barbie trial, and Colleen says this is what really put her company on the map.
Now in retirement, she enjoys playing Pickleball, gardening, hiking and socializing with family and friends. If you ask Colleen the absolute best thing that has happened to her in the past year, she will quickly tell you the she married her “best friend” whom she met at Spin class. She and her husband are having the best time enjoying their new life together.
One fun fact: Colleen will tell you that she is not afraid of ANYTHING!
So what brought Colleen to Impact Giving? In addition to meeting her husband at Spin class, she also met both Annette Sullivan and Anne Cutner Firestone there. It seems that going to Spin has brought a lot of great things and relationships to Colleen’s life. In addition to becoming great friends with Annette and Annie, Colleen says that she joined Impact Giving because she likes to give back, since she is so blessed. The moment she heard about Impact Giving, she said to herself, “this is fantastic” and she became a Partner.
